M2M/D2D Toward Beyond 4G Wireless

Abstract:
In 4G and Beyond 4G cellular networks, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication and Device-to-Device (D2D) communication are two critical technology trends. M2M refers to the communication between devices without direct human interaction, and D2D communication refers to direct link between devices using the cellular spectrum. In this panel, we will discuss the current technology development and focus on major research challenges related to this broad research area.
